and he is super sleepy. too bad he can’t check into his hotel until 12:00. guess I’ll make him walk to school with me. 

Bittersweet. I can’t wait to be done with school and back home, but I’m not sure if I’m ready to leave..

I didn’t really get any pictures in London…due to the fact that I no longer have a camera.. (hint, hint, wink, wink) parentals. what a lovely Christmas present that would be. Oh and speaking of Christmas, in London we went to Picadilly Circus and they had all there Christmas lights up and it made me so excited. Also, here in Madrid they are decorating like crazy and already playing Christmas music. 

And by delayed I mean I hate Ryan Air. They stink. I left my friend’s dorm room at 6:30 this morning and didn’t get back to my house in Madrid until 3:45. Granted part of that was because we were running around London trying to get to the airport but still I also sat on the plane for over an hour before it took off. The only thing I hate about traveling is the whole traveling thing. Also experienced my first turbulence on an air plane. Not too scary. I actually thought it was kind of fun. I loved London so so much, and I want to go back right now. I didn’t have enough time to do like anything, but I did see Wicked and at least I got to go, right? I see why Jessica never wanted to come home. It was great.

Today my nursing teacher compared something to the game of euchre…I felt so cool bc I totally got the reference when my other classmates did not. Thanks family for teaching me that lovely card game. Can’t wait to play it at Christmas!

My bad. Sorry everybody for the lack of blogging. I really thought I would be so much better about this. Well let me take you back a few weeks and do my best to catch everyone up (especially paw-paw because he is the one who keeps getting on to me). 

Paris- Well everything about Paris was amazing! It was so pretty and there were so many sites to see. I was there with three of my roommates and another friend. We had a jam packed day on Saturday and did everything! We went on two tours and had the best dinner ever. We saw the Eiffel Tower all lit up at night. I have a video I’ll try to post. On Sunday, everyone left but Tara and I. So we went to the Museo Dorsey because I wanted to see all the impressionist paintings. But of course, just my luck, the entire impressionism exhibit was closed because they were adding on. But we basically just spent the day walking up and down the river, looking at some really neat stuff. They have all these green boxes that sell old newspapers and old books and souvenirs and stuff, so we just took our time looking at everything. We also just relaxed and sat in the park right infront of The Louvre. Then we finally went to the airport where we slept (which alwasy sucks) and our flight was super early in the morning. Also: I got really sick Monday when we got back which really sucked but I got to skip school so that was good after a jam packed weekend.

Recap of Paris: Saw the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, The Mona Lisa, Museo Dorsey, and lots of other famous things. I bought and wore a beret, ate a crepe, and had a night time cruise on the Seine. I really loved everything about Paris. It was great.

Barcelona- The next weekend I went to Barcelona and it was my birthday! I really really liked Barcelona. I can see why so many people study there. It’s a lot different than Madrid, but I really liked it. We saw all the famous Gaudi artwork all around the city, and it was really cool. We saw the famous Dragon that he made (it looked like a Lizard to me but whatever). We were wondering around this beautiful park looking for this Dragon and when we finally found it, we were not as impressed. We went out for my birthday, and went salsa dancing with a bunch of people we met in our hostel, and I had black vodka for the first time. It was my birthday drink. We had a really fun night. The next day we saw some more sights and went down to the beach. We saw a really old nude guy, which I totally could have gone without seeing. We watched a water/light show at night and we ate at a chinese restaurant. None of us had had chinese since we’ve been here and it was a nice change from the usual. And yeah we just went to bed kind of early that night so we would be well rested for our flight in the morning.

Barcelona Recap: Almost missed our flight, went to giant park, saw Lizard, saw nude guy, ate chinese, saw famous architecture, went to the marina, walked around a lot, ate Mc’Donalds in the airport.

The Rest- I haven’t traveled since Barcelona, but it’s been really nice just relaxing in Madrid on the weekends. I have gone to Mass the past two weekends in our itsy bitsy chapel at school that only sits nine people. Needless to say not a lot of people attend. I have also had a lot of exams and school stuff to do. People forget that I am still taking a full course load of nursing classes. Not fun. But I actually really enjoy all my classes minus physiology. My teacher is crazy, but isn’t there always at least one you don’t like? But yeah everything has been great. Oh I forgot about Halloween. We all dressed up and went out and had a good time. We realized that Halloween isn’t as evolved here as it is back at home. Every here dresses up as zombies or witches or scary things. They don;t really do the funny stuff that Americans do. We definitely felt a little out of place but it was all good. This weekend all my roommates were gone so my host mom allowed me to have a friend over. Megan and I have just been chilling and watching moveis and it’s been great. Today we went on a long walk down to the river near where she lives. It was really pretty and there was a park and I really wish I had my camera (but oh wait it got stolen/lost on Halloween…). 

Okay I think that’s all I can remember as of right now. I hope that satisfies your interests Paw-Paw. I love and miss everyone. So sad I won’t be home for some yummy Thanksgiving food. 40 more days and then I’m home. I can’t believe it. Time has flown.

Is a store in Madrid. I got some mint milano cookies for 1 euro! and I got some poptarts, and some American candy that I haven’t had in forever. yum yum. good day. oh I also got some mac and cheese. i have missed me some mac and cheese. 

IT FINALLY RAINED TODAY! It was the first time since I’ve been here. I’ve actually really missed the rain to be honest. It was a good day. I also drank real milk for the first time since I’ve been here. It was delicious. I miss cold milk.
